$150 Lens Vs. $1500 Lens - Can You Tell The Difference?

    All you video shooters ... Can you tell the difference between a cheap $150 Canon lens and Zeiss $15,000 in a video test? The results may surprise you. From Rocket Jump Film School.

    They made that video entertaining. Good job.

    At the end of the video they mention that at the extremes the results would probably be different. If you were shooting porn in a well lit room I would expect that all lenses would give you a similar result. An artsy scene in a dark room lit by moonlight through a window, not so much.

    $150 lens is probably 100x better then the crap people are shooting on their IPhone. :arghh:

    Kit lenses are pretty decent these days. Expensive glass is nice, but not necessary for most people. Photography has never been a better bargain really.
