One of the best known porn stars in Denmark today is Nikki Dane. A very attractive blonde bombshell, who really enjoys sex before the camera. (Not really a matter of course, if I look at the afflicted and bored faces of many women in US discount porn movies.)

In 1998, her husband shot some photos for a danish nude mag, she was selected as "model of the month" and TV3, a private scandinavian TV company, was developing an erotic TV magazine a few months later, she was hired as a moderator. She dont wanted to moderate only, but acted with her husband and later with other men, also with male stars out of the porn biz. In one episode of "Sexorama", that was the title of the danish tv show, she was kindly asked to perform in a photo shooting, she later wanted more. Even if this was made up - these spontaneous scenes were only possible in the time before HIV - Nikkis fun and enjoyment wasnt.

Because it wasnt possible to top the title of the TV Series "Sexorama", she ironically called her ongoing porn series "Fluffer Helle". Fluffer girls are the ones, who help the male actors to get an erection, before they can start their performances. Why Fluffer Helle ? Because her real name is Helle Andersen. She started to work with her real name in danish porn - not unusual in Denmark - later she was just calling herself "Fluffer Helle". Caramel Movies - a discount DVD porn label - released her first hardcore episode, this was an immediate success in Denmark (also in other scandinavian countries). Later discount DVDs followed. Because "Fluffer Helle" was a big porn star now and also worked together with Mike Beck ( publisher of the danish Hustler and producer of one of DKs largest porn labels ), she changed her name to "Nikki Dane", an international name. With her surname "Dane", her real origin was no longer a riddle for the foreign porn fan.

The DVD "Fluffer Helle" (and the Photographer) was released in several versions. The price for this DVD is very low (I paid 5 Euro for a NEW release). The picture quality is ok, but it isnt on the high level most US productions have. The scene itself is really nice, but the problem is the language barrier. The Photographer (a well known danish porn stud I dont know well) and Helle have a charming conversation, but because there are no subtitles, and I know no more as 50 words in danish, it was very difficult to follow the talk. The Sex is standard, but Nikki enjoys it much more, than the average US porn actress does. At the end, the "Photographer" is "empty", but Nikki seems to be not totally satisfied yet. The sex scene is nice, nothing spectacular, the camera working is a little static (her husband was holding the camera).

The bonus material is another thing, here the picture quality and the quality of the content are varying wildly. Caramel is a discount company, and they have tons of bad stuff too. So here are half a dozen of scenes from "brazilian porn" samplers, that dont make sense here and are sub-standard.

The next wave of bonus scenes are from DK, but it begins with a SM girl, she gets a needle piercing in her breast and enjoyed it - it was a pain to watch this for me......

The next installment is more interesting, a loving couple has a "24hours-paysite". You can watch them on the net, of course they have quite a lot of sex. The interview is interesting, but it is in danish again, zero subtitles. The last bonus installment are 6 lesbian scenes, some are mediocre, some worse.

The bonus material, with the exception of the couple, has nothing to do with the main feature. It was no clever choice of Caramel to include this. Yes, you have many scenes for very few Euros (or $), but I would prefer to watch a TV test pattern, as to watch needle piercings in a SM studio. Or third-rate porn out of Brazil. The interview with the danish couple seems to be interesting, but it made no difference to me, if it were in danish, in ancient greek or in martian, because I couldnt understand it.

Caramel has a big " We look for worldwide distributors " screener, ironically, this is the only sentence in english on this DVD ! They also were a little amazed, that their movies were not blockbusters, but "dead wood" in the Netherlands. The performers conversate more as in standard porn. So if they dont want to subtitle their movies, their exports will not grow. They cant take for granted, that porn viewers now are cramming danish, only to understand the dialogues.

For me, its very nice to see the return of danish porn, danish porn was almost dead in the 90s. But if I compare this with the danish classics of the 70s and 80s, especially from Color Climax and Filmlab Denmark, this is barely more as nothing, sorry to say this. If I compare it with the recent stuff, Caramel DVDs are very affordable priced, Nikki Dane is a very good actress, I would give a 6/10, but only if you ignore the weak "bonus" stuff.

If I have to rate the whole package, it would get a 3/10.

I've searched for her movies on some US shop sites, some of her movies by Mike Beck are also sold in the USA. If you dont want to import this danish DVD, you should look out for her more recent titles. Its always a great pleasure to watch Nikke Dane in action.

PS: The movie was first released by BNA DK (cover), but this version is out of print, the Caramel version is cheaper and has a variant cover, but the content is the same.
