New Starlet Page added for Annabel Chong!

I added a new starlet page for Annabel Chong today. After thinking about it, she's a relatively important Asian starlet. Despite only appearing in about fifty features, Annabel made several key contributions to porn that had long lasting effects.

First, in her heyday (94-95) nobody could touch Annabel in terms of sheer filth and raunch. Had this website existed, she would have been a shoo in for top Raincoater MVP both years. Even today, her scenes hold up well. Ms. Chong was regularly performing double anal and triple penetration nearly *ten* years before the current craze today. As a raincoat performer, Annabel was the real deal. Asian fans wouldn't see anyone who even came close to being this nasty until Jade Marcela in 1999.

Her second major contribution was performing in the "World's Biggest Gangbang". To me, it's still pretty amazing that Annabel (or any chick) would subject herself to getting boned by hundreds of strangers and let the process be filmed so that it can serve as masturbation fodder for extreme raincoaters to jack off. The hoopla around this event was tremendous and the tape went on to sell a gazillion copies and and become the best seller of the year. Although some starlets subsequently went on to allegedly break her record, Annabel was the one who took gangbangs to the limit first -- the rest were merely followers. It's a little bit going to the Moon. We all know about Neil Armstrong, but most would be hard pressed to say much about the Apollo landings. Thanks to the Gangbang, Annabel may well have been the first Asian porno superstar.

There's other things about her that make her stand out. Annabel is more educated and intelligent than many starlets and has always approached porn from a somewhat strange philosophical point of view. I suspect being porn's premier triple penetration "Anal Queen" was something she felt conflicted about and she probably experienced a great deal of internal struggle. These circumstances were fertile seed for "Sex - The Annabel Chong Story", a unique documentary that screened well to audiences at Sundance. So, Ms. Chong somehow ended up with another big first. Annabel helped paved the way for subsequent documentaries featuring Ron Jeremy and Seymore Butts' TV show on Showtime.

Despite these accomplishments and her glorious contributions to raincoater porn, Annabel has always been underappreciated. Although I'm sure she has some devoted fans, I never got the sense she was an audience favorite. Keep in mind that she missed the whole "Asian" porn star popularity wave that hit about 1999. Quite often, when I would read comments posted about her on the Internet, she's dismissed as "skanky" or "ugly". It's too bad. In the porn History books, Annabel may turn out to be one of the all time greats.

I wanted to point out some new features on the starlet bio pages that appear for the first time on Annabel's page.

I am now recommending what I consider the starlet's best movies. These will be marked with a star. Also, movies with special significance to porn will be marked with "!!!" Specially selected movies will have shopping links next to them. If a DVD is available, the link to be for a DVD. If DVD is not available, then I will link to VHS.

I also included four or five pictures on Annabel's page instead of just one.

I think the mysogomist element would term her "skanky." That's the same mentality as people that kill prostitutes because prostitutes are "garbage."

Not only wasn't Annabel Chong not skanky she was quite sophisticated. And she wasn't ugly either. She didn't have a bad body if you over look her unfortunate boob job. It's too bad Annabel didn't have a longer career.

OK Snowman has done a great job with the upgrades to Annabels page, even if you don't like her, you should check out the pix and filmography rating scheme to see what i mean.
It is a great effort, and not one member has said thanks! On her page he pointed me to some great (highly rated) Annabel comps that I never knew were out there and saved me $$$$, over buying them separately (which I was gonna do!) so Thanks, Snowman.
Secondly, FIVE very well deserved stars for Annabels porn 'firsts', as Snowman has detailed above, no less than three seismic changes were ushered in by Chong. (And for good measure, she showed the world that not all Singaporean women are as stuffy and vanilla as their strait laced government would have us all believe!)
