Wow, so you are from the Midwest! The Midwest always has a reputation for being very conservative so I am always surprised when starlets come from that area. But then again I guess the Chicago area would be a lot more liberal than a Wisconsin cheese farming community. Have you now relocated to California or is your home still in the Windy City? How do like the Los Angeles area? What did you do before getting into adult entertainment?

Snowman, Living in Wisconsin I agree with your assessment of the State to a degree. The small farming communities are very conservative even though Obama carried the State in the election. I live in Madison, which is a small liberal white collar oasis within the middle of a conservative State and also the State capitol. Madison Wisconsin is the exception to the rule here and also throughout the Midwest. Many people who have been here compare it to Boulder Colorado and Austin Texas even though it is smaller (260,000 pop) then these city's.

To answer these questions, I moved to LA in 2005 with dreams of being in TV and movies. Aside from doing one indie film and tons of background work, and a mainstream agent that could care less for me, I haven't had much success. I was waiting on tables at a fine dining restaurant as my survival job for the last 3 years. As our economy took a downturn, we started seeing less and less business. There were rumors flying around that 2 of us were going to be laid off. I never NEVER thought I would be one of them. I was very dedicated, and a responsible and hard worker. I always showed up on time every time, and sober (unlike my other co-workers). I was shocked and amazed on January 24 to see our weekly schedule, and the space next to my name was blank. They pulled me into the office that night, and explained everything to me. At this point my question was "Why Me????". Needless to say, I fell into a depression. I sent out tons of applications and resumes every day. Nobody would hire me or even give me a chance. I was so depressed that it felt like the ground was swallowing my body whole.
Then one day, I emailed some pictures to Jim South of World Modeling, and he called me almost immediately. The minute I got that phone call I knew my life was going to change. Porn was always a "secret fantasy" of mine, but I never thought my body was in that great shape, and I never thought I was hot enough. Suddenly I felt like I was catapulted into a business that was exciting and different, like I fell into a pit filled with hot, sexy people saying "Come, be one with us". I'm in my 30's, and there comes a point where you feel like all the excitement in your life is over. Then you find out, all the excitement in your life is just beginning. I don't have any regrets. It's been a thrilling experience for me, and I hope it will continue to be that way. I hope to succeed in this business, and I hope everyone enjoys my work. I view my sexuality as a gift, and I intend on sharing it with the world. ---Lucky

By the way, most people from the Midwest are conservative, unless you're from Chicago, like me. Those people are crazy, but fun crazy! Even though my body is in LA (I like the weather!), I will always consider myself a Chicago girl. Go Cubs!! Go Bulls! Go Bears!

Lucky, thanks for taking the time to share your story with us... We are all a bunch of dedicated guys to this "hobby" and board. It's probably a good bet we will certainly help support any endeavors you are involved with based not only on your "hottiness," but because you are showing yourself to be a very sweet girl!

We are happy you are happy in this profession as well. It really plays a major part in the success of the scene when the female talent isn't just going through the motions, but is enjoying her work as well... it shows!

My advice to you is to see how our other prominent APH here (Tia Ling) conducts herself on this board, runs her site and interacts with the producers in porn valley. You could have no better example to pattern your career from.
