Arizona fugitive David Elms, the creator of The Erotic Review, was arrested this week in California while trying to cross into the United States at the Mexican border. Elms is wanted for felony charges that allege he attempted to hire someone to seriously hurt the owner of his biggest competitor and critic -- sexwork.com.

Reader comments to the original news story allege he was set up by Veronica Franco who reportedly collected a $15,000 reward for his arrest. Kelly DD writes: "Veronica was emailing him pretending to want to get back on TER, tracked his email to Mexico, alerted authorities. She used another provider to lure him over the border with the promise of sex and drugs. It worked, he fell for it like the addict he is and Veronica collected the bounty on him."

The founder of the call-girl-finding Web site, www.theeroticreview.com, David Elms, has been arrested in California after two months on the lam from Maricopa County criminal charges. Phoenix police say Elms: ...was arrested today south of San Diego while trying to cross the border from Mexico into the United States. It is believed Elms fled the United States and possibly went to Dubai, then tried to return to the United States through Mexico today when the Border Patrol arrested him. I am told he is currently in custody and en route to Torrance, California. Elms is charged with trying to hire someone to injure a man (apparently a local competitor who also happens to be one of Elms' biggest critics). ***
