Director John Hughes RIP

Director and screenwriter John Hughes died yesterday while taking a morning walk in NYC where he was visiting family. He was 59. Hughes' movies included Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Weird Science, Trains Planes & Automobiles, Uncle Buck and Home Alone.

Big, big loss there! And these days, 59 is quite young to be dying "suddenly!"

I have most of his movies in my library. Will have to have a mini-Hughes marathon this weekend.
