Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t that the job of an agent – to notify producers / directors of new talent they are representing? I can’t imagine an agent would be in business for very long if he didn’t proactively try to place his talent - in essence you’re saying you feel honored they are doing their job.

I think Don's saying he's honored they chose him rather than another producer/director, especially when the talent is top-shelf, not that he is honored they did their job. It is validation of his art/work.
