This thread is for the official poll for the First Annual APH Hall of Fame Award. This award is a lifetime achievement honor for starlets who represent the zenith of their profession and have made a lasting impact on adult entertainment.
Feel free to post messages to persuade fellow APH fans to vote for your favorites in this thread.
Pick three starlets this year! If you select more than three, all your votes will be disqualified.
Congratulations to the nominees advancing to the voting round and good luck!

All are worthy and I dare predict that all of these ladies will eventually be voted in at some time in the future. I would like for everyone to consider that Linda Wong was “The” first APH and deserves serious attention for the charter class. Linda was attractive and performed in a considerable amount of scenes for that era. It would be a shame if the one who started it all did not get in on the first ballot.
They should all be in the hof. However the women who were the pioneers, so to speak of, should be the first one's in. Kristara Barrington should probably head the first entrees. BTW is she still connected to porn in anyway?

From what I read on the net, Kristara is now working as a veterinarian in the Midwest. She does not have any connection to the adult industry at this time to the best of my knowledge. That's not uncommon however for starlets 10-20-30 years on from the time when they were gracing boxcovers.
Here are some links to APH starlet pages (if available) and/or IAFD page for each of the APH HOF nominees this year. This may be helpful in casting your votes:

I suggest we look at a way to weight our votes next year, first, second, and third choice ( 10, 5, and 3 points, maybe ). Under the current arrangement, any votes cast above and beyond the one to your #1 choice actually work against your favorite. Weighting the votes would reduce that effect. When you vote for your 2nd and 3rd choices now, you might actually be casting a vote that keeps your top pick out of the HOF. Weighting the votes would be a step toward preventing that from happening.

To me that sounds overly complex and it won't be necessary soon since I only expect to induct one girl per year into the HOF going forward (or perhaps two next year). Also, the polling capability built into vBulletin does not allow for that option. (It doesn't even have the ability to limit the votes to a certain number if you chose more than one. I am going to have check the votes manually). Although there are third party polling scripts or websites available, there would likely be complications trying to limit it to forum members and only one vote.
No system is perfect, we just have to manage the best we can!
I don't see any reason to complicate things to the N'th degree here....but then again I've always been lousy at math...
Let's remember that this is really just a popularity contest and a chance for us to vote for the gals we enjoy watching. I dare say most of the inductees for the hall of fame are probably going to be difficult if not impossible to track down. I'm sure it's flattering to be recognized for your work but I'm betting that the vast majority of these ladies have moved on with their lives. They made films to make money, not to win awards. Asian women age very well and I'm sure many of these retired ladies could still be shooting scenes today...if they actually wanted to.
Lets just enjoy the awards for what they are; a chance to recognize our favorite ladies.
In the event there is a tie ... how do you guys think it should be handled? We could have a quick run-off election of short duration, or I could pick a name out of a hat? Any other ideas?
I am torn about co-winners, but that is an option. A run-off would be the other option I would choose. I would prefer the latter I think. Maybe a 7 day runoff?
