This episode of Gang Bang Angels was originally released on video in 1999, but a DVD version was not available until now.  In 1999, Bridgett Kerkove appeared in dozens of raincoater oriented movies (65 according to my database).  This high number of appearances in a single year even beats Jade Marcela by a handy margin (52 in '99).  Just like Jade, Bridgett performs kinky sex such as anal and DPs in nearly every scene.   

SCENE ONE

Like Paula Cole a couple of years before, the movie begins with Bridgett Kerkove wondering what happened to all cowboys  -- those "wild, crazy guys who love women".  The guys today "suck".  She's in her bedroom, dressed in a tight gray t-shirt and black shorts.  This outfit looks pretty darn good on her.  Bridgett starts to fantasize about cowboys and her clothes come off quickly.  She lies down on the bed, rubs her hands all over her body and tells us that her fantasy is to be a saloon dancer in the old west.  Her pussy is shaved completely clean and she begins to play with herself.

The scene cuts to Bridgett getting reamed in the doggy position.  Again, the main emphasis is on Ms. Kerkove's ass.  Just when you think there might be a angle that includes her face, the camera zooms in a little tighter on her asshole.  The guys again line up and proceed to fuck her ass in turn, each for about thirty seconds.  At this point, there's been about ten solid minutes of booty bumping.  After two or three guys the camera work does get a little more interesting by including a few shots of Bridgett's face between guys and during the insertion shots.  A good amount of lube appears to be running down her leg here.

BONUS SCENE

During the credits many outtakes and behind the scenes sequences are included.  The running time on this material is about ten minutes.  Some of the clips are very amusing and others are just sort of gross.  At times, the behind the scenes segments are more interesting than the feature!  All in all, it's great when this type of material is included.  Usually, this type of bonus footage is only found on DVDs, but in this instance, it was also included on the original VHS release.  

DVD SPECIFIC COMMENTS

Gang Bang Angels #5 is a pretty basic package so far as DVDs go.  The menu contains four choices:  play, chapter menu, photo gallery, trailers and Internet.  From the "Chapter" menu, the viewer can jump directly to six chapter stops on the disc.  The chapters roughly are divided as follows:  the tease sequence at the beginning, blowjobs, straight fucking, cowgirl riding, anal sex and the cum shots.  I counted twelve photos in the photo gallery.  There are about ten minutes of previews included from other Elegant Angel releases.  

The picture quality for the disc was good.  On my computer monitor, the picture quality did not appear to be overly grainy or exhibit any significant flaws.  Also, the sound quality was mostly good.  

I noticed a few minor technical glitches when playing this DVD on my computer using WinDVD v2.3.  The first involved the image on the far right and left sides of the screen.  A blue, transparent line is visible that runs the full vertical length.  The line is more noticeable on the left side of the screen.  This is something that should have been cropped out from the original master tapes during the DVD mastering process.   Since TV screens have a slightly smaller viewing area, it may not appear there.  Second,  when I pressed "Play" after pressing "Stop" , the disc seemed to take me to the photo gallery, not the main menu.   Finally, I experienced some more weirdness with the photo gallery.  In WinDVD, navigating through the photos with the arrow icons sometimes caused the image to jump from half screen to full screen size and then back again.  

At this time, I did not test the disc in my Sony stand alone DVD player (model 560). 

CONCLUSION

This is an above average gang bang feature.  I appreciate the effort that Alex Ladd and crew put into the Wild West theme.  Also, there's plenty of decent sex action, and the last third of the film is hard enough to satisfy even jaded raincoat viewers.  As mentioned in the body of the review, I think the action could have been presented in a more interesting way at times by keeping the camera less stationary, but what's here is passable.  Overall, the production values are high.   

Of course, assuming that one enjoys gang bang films, to some degree, the appeal of this film will stand or fall on the viewer's opinion of Bridgett Kerkove.  Let's face it, this is the Bridgett Kerkove show from the first frame.  She's the only starlet in this production.  Viewers who enjoy watching her should be in seventh heaven.  Viewers who are unimpressed will not likely change their mind after watching Gang Bang Angels 5.   Personally, she's not my favorite, but I acknowledge her solid contributions to raincoat porn.
