Synopsis
Five girl/girl scenes, each with a different "surreal" look and feel but stylistically similar at the same time. Each scene features two girls in mostly softcore action. For some reason I associated these settings with the Garden of Eden and Hell, but according to the box, it has something to do with Mother Nature. The theme of the first scene seems to be purity, symbolized by water and white surroundings with flowers. Fire is the theme of the second scene. The third scene has a post modern, industrial setting with a cold steel look, large fan, and flash effects. Scene four appears to be related to Clouds. The final scene is set in a garden and suggests innocence, although at the end a lightening storm is portrayed. The music is matched to the visual mood Robbie D. is trying to create. In the first "water" scene, smooth jazz is heard, but in the second "fire" scene, hard rock music is used.
There is absolutely no plot or dialog in this film. In all the scenes, the girls pose and tease and then engage in gentle sappho love. When the girls get it on, there is no moaning. Only the music soundtrack is heard.
What's Hot
All the girls in this feature looked very attractive. Most are brunettes, some blonds, one Asian and one Black gal are used.
Nice (and sexy) costumes are used. I especially liked Monica's fishnet one piece and Teanna's red and orange feather outfit in her "fire" scene.
Good attempt to invoke different moods for each scene while employing a similar, unifying style. Good fast editing keeps the viewer interested in the action, but it is not always sequential. A fair amount of special lighting effects are used.
Lots of sexy softcore poses and tease.
What's Not
The sex itself is very low key. I don't necessarily think it is a problem so long as the viewer realizes this is "Robbie D's take on lesbo love." Viewers expecting raincoater type Bruce Seven girl/girl fare will be very disappointed. Here "intensely erotic" does not mean hardcore or explicit.
Starlets were not identified at the beginning or end. Only partial identification on the box cover.
Everything Else
The sex itself is very mild. The hardest action show is pussy licking and brief fingering.
Good camera work and lighting throughout. Sound OK, but all music.
No condoms were used in this feature. :-)
Last Word
This is a new direction for director Robbie D. Normally, I associate Robbie D. with Vivid's harder and more explicit lines such as Action Sports Sex and The Watcher. Girl World is different because it is his first girl/girl outing and it is much softer than his previous gonzo work. Robbie D. appears to be influenced heavily by Playboy style erotica here.
