Synopsis

What's Hot
The girls are all attractive and look relatively elegant and classy here. The posh, stark mansion where this movie is filmed help reinforce this theme. It's a welcome relief from the flood of skanky looking girls who are often used in the current crop of porn flicks.
Although primarily a vanilla sex type movie, there was an good attempt to make the movie more appealing to raincoaters. Two of the scenes contain pretty hot anal sex.
Good productions values.
The film has an artsy feel to it. Some sequences have understated special effects or black and white clips intercut with the regular footage.
What's Not
It's somewhat repetitive. All the scenes are quite similar. This is not necessarily a bad thing, if you like the concept here.

Here's a brief play by play:

Last Word
With The Gift, Robbie D. continues in the direction I first noticed on Girl World, an all girl series he also shoots for Vivid. It could be described as high concept, wall to wall, glamour porn. As such it's a good match for Vivid Video, but perhaps not such a good match for inclusion under their "Raw" moniker. In fact, releasing it under the "Raw" line is sort of ironic, because from what I can tell, it seems like Robbie D. has made a conscious effort to move away from presenting anything raw in these features. Between the artsy look and feel of the movie, the sterile mansion setting, and cool electronic or jazz soundtrack which dominates each scene, Robbie D. is becoming very skilled at presenting frosty, detached sex between (mostly) beautiful people. There's lots of sex here, but it never looks vulgar or exploitive. The girls uniformly look relatively classy and elegant, even when performing anal sex.
