Synopsis
Just the other day, someone on RAME posted a new thread called "I hate the new lesbian scenes." The poster, Jospeo, went on to explain that "there was a time when lesbian scenes were very sensual and erotic, but now I see women being very aggressive with each other, banging each other really hard or fisting. They don't take the time to feel and touch."
Here's a movie for people who agree with Jospeo! Girl World #02 presents girl/girl love in a relatively tame, but unusually creative fashion. Like the first in the series, each scene relates to a central theme. Last time, the theme was Mother Nature, this time it is Art. In each of the five scenes, there are two girls who eventually get down with each other for some light lesbian play after extended tease sequences. What's special are the art related scenarios for each.
Scene one depicts the girls as graffiti artists - complete with spray paint and baggy clothing. Scene two is an artsy sequence involving Day-Glo paint and black light effects. Scene three features a museum sculpture that comes to life. Scene four is the sensual clay scene, popular ever since the movie Ghost. And last but not least, scene five features two works of modern art which magically pair up, one of which literally jumps off the canvas.
What's Hot
Director Robbie D. put lots of imagination and creativity into these scenes.
Good use of fast, music video style editing at times.
Brunette with the sculptured, graphite look in Scene 3 is impressive. Good make-up job!
Good use of mood evoking music in each scene. Everything from keyboard oriented smooth jazz to moody X-Files music that sounds inspired by David Bowie's Low, to Enigma style, modern chant music is used.
Plenty of tease and build-up for each scene before the girls lick pussy including kissing and touching sequences.
What's Not
No identification of the starlets.
Not many exotic girls are on the menu. All the girls are white except for (Latina) Adriana.
Everything Else
Good production values throughout (video and sound).
Last Word
I noted in my review of the first Girl World video that it reminded me of something Playboy might do, but a notch or two harder. Robbie D. continues in the same vein here. I appreciate the effort Robbie D. and Vivid put into this feature. Many of the sequences are visually interesting to watch. The mostly mild sex cannot be called scorching, but I feel it is unfair to criticize this feature on that basis. I believe the producers purposely set out to present five stylized sex scenes in a fuzzy zone between hardcore and softcore.
Raincoaters looking for aggressive lesbian sex will probably not be interested in this tape, but viewers looking for a the softer side of girl/girl encounters will want to check this out.

On the date of this review, the price for this video was $29.95 at one online retailer.
This video was released on DVD in May 2002, however Vivid did not send send me a DVD screener, so I cannot comment on it.
