Synopsis

Cheyne Collins is the leading man in this couples oriented feature.  Cheyne is married to Dasha, but the state of their marriage is less than peachy.  A few minutes into the film Dasha becomes fed up with her slovenly husband and splits without much explanation.  Cheyne doesn't immediately jump back in the saddle.  He deals with the break up by eating lots of junk food and watching porn.  After awhile one of Cheyne's old buddies  decides to get him back on the "road to recovery" which includes trying to pick up girls at a local bar.  They encounter hottie Cheyenne Silver there and become involved.  However, a relationship with Cheyenne proves difficult as well and Dasha is not quite out of the picture.

What's Hot

Cheyenne shines several times in the blowjob department.  Her sex scenes were the hottest in the movie. 

Good technical qualities.  Picture, lighting and sound quality were all high, especially on the DVD version.  Also, multiple angles are available at times in the DVD version.  I mostly screened the video version, so I didn't explore them much for this review.

Lots of bonus footage on the DVD including a good "Behind the Scenes" featurette.  The bonus footage is especially welcome here since the running time of the feature is short.

What's Not

VHS version is pretty short (just 75 minutes). 

Confusing editing during the hot toilet sex scene with Cheyenne Silver.  Main man Cheyne looks on and imagines himself with Dasha doing the same thing.  As a result, the action switches back and forth between the two couples.  I would have preferred footage only of Cheyenne. 

Underdeveloped plot. 

There were some vaguely "gay moments" that I could do without, especially the ending. 

Sex is mainly vanilla.  The most daring thing in this movie sex wise is a dildo up the butt in the girl/girl scene.  Note - the lack of raincoater material may be a plus for some couples.

Play By Play with Bonus Female Perspective!

Below is a brief description of each scene.  As a special feature, I've included a female perspective on this "couples" movie.  My friend reviewed the movie with me and I've included her comments below.  She's a young Asian female in her 20's.  I've denoted her comments with the label YAFP. 

Scene One - Dasha & Cheyne Collins.  This is a brief indoor, bedroom scene.   Dasha is totally nude.  Brief oral is shown and then straight sex in the mish and reverse cowgirl position.  The guy cums on Dasha's breasts. 

YAFP -- "This scene was not really exciting or nasty... just regular sex.  The guy was not very handsome.  He had a unappealing "gay" look, especially with the earrings.  Men with prominent earrings are a turn off."

Scene Two - Jewell Marceau & Nikita Denise (girl/girl scene).  Both of these ladies appear to be tall brunettes.  The action takes place in bathroom with a large tub.  The girls have a nude, wet look for this scene and have a similar appearance.  Kissing and breast fondling. 

YAFP -- "I don't understand why guys are excited about two women getting it on.  Watching two guys have sex would not turn me on."

One of the ladies tongue fucks the others and licks snatch.  A blue, fairly large dildo makes an appearance and is used in the sitting position. 

YAFP -- Wonders if every woman tastes different?  Commented that one of the girls had breasts "like a Papaya" and asked "are they real?"

YAFP -- "The women up to this point look like sluts and the men look gay.  A straight person cannot relate to this."  She commented that she wants to see "nice bodies" and more "regular looking" men.

Scene Three -  Cheyenne Silver & Lee Stone (intercut with Dasha & Cheyne Collins).  Cheyenne gives a nice blowjob to Lee using two hands.  Good eye contact with her partner and sucking sounds.  Then doggy fucking from behind as Cheyenne stands on the toilet.  Reverse cowgirl screwing with excellent bounce.  For the money shot, the guy shoots his load on Cheyenne's tits. 

YAFP -- "Why would she do that?"  Suggested a web site named "sleazy(something).com" with short sex stories, but I could not find it.  As a substitute, try Adult Story Corner, a free site with quite a few erotica stories, some of which are submitted by readers.  Commented that Cheyenne Silver is "not bad" looking.  Also, Lee Stone got a favorable reaction.  Lee was "good looking and muscular".  Said that it seemed exciting to have sex in a public restroom. 

Scene Four -- Cheyenne Silver and one guy.  Cheyenne is wearing jean shorts and tank top.  She blows Cheyne's buddy on her knees.  The guy is in a chair.  Good BJ action.  Very good sucking and licking on Cheyenne's part.  The guy fingers Cheyenne's pussy.  Straight missionary sex with some explicit footage.  Cheyenne spreads her cunt during sex.  Then fucking from behind.  Cheyenne is nude here except for her socks and tennis shoes.  The starlet fingers herself at the same time.  Nice full view photography.  The guy pulls out and cums on Cheyenne's booty.

YAFP -- "It's weird to do a BJ with another guy standing there.  Why would Cheyenne suddenly turn around and do [Cheyne's buddy].  Annoyed there was little explanation of the plot.  Commented it was odd that Cheyenne keeps her tennis shoes on during sex.  Summed up the sex by saying it was "OK".

Scene Five - Cheyenne Silver & one guy.  Cheyenne strips quickly and delivers another nice BJ with loud sucking sounds.  Wet oral with lots of tongue action.  Then her partner returns the favors and licks her pussy.  Pussy fucking in the reverse cowgirl position with good up & down motion by Cheyenne.  Next, explicit doggy screwing with light asshole fingering.  Cheyenne looks good here.  The guy cums on her butt. 

YAFP -- "If the story was more developed, this video wouldn't be bad to watch.  Sometimes it's better to leave some clothes on."  Comments that "if you watch a lot of these porno tapes, you will probably become more open minded about sex."  Also, "guys are pigs... so easy for them to go to other women." 

Scene Six -  April & one guy.  This scene takes place indoors on a sofa.  The guy eats at the Y.  April is nude and totally shaved.  As usual, she looks pretty cute.  Next a BJ where the guy is standing and April is on her knees.  This is followed by reverse cowgirl on the sofa and a nice looking doggy sequence.  The guy pulls out and cums on April's ass. 

YAFP -- Noted that April was pretty quiet.  Also commented on the guy's suntan, and how it looked like he wore skimpy shorts during the tan sessions.  Speculated on who would marry a porn star. 

Bonus Scenes

These scenes are found under the "Bonus Rooms" submenu.  They are unrelated to "Perfect Couple" but feature the same Vivid girls.

    (1) Scene Lifted From "Last Chance" featuring Cheyenne Silver.  (about 11 minutes)

    (2) Scene lifted from "Unconscious" featuring Dasha.  (about 12 minutes)

    (3)  Scene listed from "MIssion Erotica" featuring Asia Carerra and Kobe Tai.  (about 5 minutes).

Everything Else

The DVD version contains a seventeen minute "Behind the Scenes" featurette for "The Perfect Couple."  Sex and non-sex footage of the various scene in the movie are included.  This bonus should be interesting for viewers who want to see how adult scenes are filmed.  Director David Stanley and Robbie D. can be seen working out the details of some scenes, including the hot bathroom romp with Cheyenne. 

The DVD also permits viewers to jump to the chapter of their choice and contains previews of other Vivid features.

Last Word

Perfect Couple is suitable for couples.  This feature has a plot, but it's underdeveloped compared to some other Vivid features, especially those by Paul Thomas.  Cheyenne Silver fans will want to take a look also as she is featured in multiple scenes.  Her bathroom romp generates the most heat in the film, followed by the girl/girl scene with anal dildo reaming sequence.  The remaining scenes are average.  Raincoaters will probably not be too thrilled with this one. 

YAFP -- This movie is "not bad".  The sex was not bad or too crazy.  "There was nothing too ugly that I didn't want to see."  Perfect Couple would be better if it had a smoother story.  A more developed plot would make people more interested in the sex.  Perfect Couple is fairly entertaining and a good way to relax for a couple of hours. 

Overall Rating:  C+

Second Opinion? 

Anton Deztini at Adult DVD Empire rates this disc 3.5 out of 5.  He says it is "not bad" but could be better given the talent involved.  The girls are "gorgeous" and the disc features good film work.  But the movement is "slow" and there are "choppy segues".
