A generous amount (24 minutes) of "extra footage" is included featuring Sabrine, Alexa, and Chris.  It's a mixture of sex footage that didn't make the final cut and behind the scenes material.  About half of the featurette is devoted to Sabrine, but that's not a bad thing!  The most interesting part was seeing Jules set up her anal scene.  Indeed it does appear that taking on Mr. Marcus was a bit of a challenge for the girl. 

Generally very good audio/visual quality in every scene.  Very good camera work with effective angles.  Generally good illumination except for some instances where the girl's crotch was too dark.

What's Not

Viewers may be a little disappointed that only two of the scenes contain anal here.  With so many great anal oriented credits to his name, porn fans may expect a higher raincoater quotient. 

This is one of those Jules Jordan discs with an annoying watermark at the bottom right corner of the screen.  The mark is not as big as Max Hardcore's but distracting nonetheless.  This type of advertising does not belong on DVDs -- the consumer already knows what he or she purchased or rented.  Jules Jordan has since discontinued this practice.

Play By Play

Below is a detailed description of each scene:

Last Word

"Once You Go Black, You Never Go Back" is a fine choice for connoisseurs of interracial porn.  However, the appeal of this feature is much broader than that.  Although every scene pairs a black man with a lighter skinned starlet, the movie doesn't have much of a racial agenda beyond that simple set up.  But for the title, the appearance of five black men might be written off as a coincidence.  In that sense, "Once You Go Black..." at it's core is just another well crafted, gonzo style, hardcore porn flick and hard to distinguish from other Jules Jordan vehicles. 

Best scene honors go to Sabrine Maui, whose blistering anal performance is not to be missed, especially for fans of Asian porno hotties.  Melanie Jagger is the runner up in this collection.  Her efforts to take Mandingo up her butt will be appreciated by raincoaters everywhere.  The scenes with Chris and August are fun as well, but regretfully they come up short in the truly nasty department.

Second Opinion?

Rog was simply blown away by this movie and gave it an "A+".  He called it "one of the best all sex movies this year so far" and predicted it would still be at the top of the list in December.  He says Sabrine's scene is one of the best he has seen in a long time, and described the sex as "very hot" in every scene.  He summed up this disc by calling it "nearly flawless".  (RAME 03.30.03)

Astroknight also thought this movie was pretty great.  He calls it "the hottest interracial sex since "Lex the Impaler".  Sabrine and Melanie's scenes were "amazing" but Astro cited (personal) "problems" with Alexa that interfered with his enjoyment.  Overall rating 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.  (ADT)
