Synopsis

Kira is a hooker with some politically important clients.  Not long after she threatens to spill the beans on a candidate for governor, she mysteriously turns up dead in a park.  Tyce Bune, who had his own special relationship with Kira, is the seasoned detective on the case.  His main suspect is "Fish", a reclusive porno editor played by Evan Stone.  However, Kira's pimp, Randy Spears may be culprit as well.  Can Tyce solve this murder mystery and bring justice to Kira's killer? 

What's Hot

Kira looks exceptionally hot here and April (now a brunette) looks nice as well.

The acting performances here quite good.  I especially enjoyed Evan Stone's outstanding performance as Fish, a creepy, loner who likes to peep on his neighbor (April).  Tyce and Randy deserve special mention as well.

Kudos to Paul Thomas (and scriptwriter Tony G) for creating an moody, atmospheric adult feature with a relatively well developed and engaging story.  Thomas really seems to be in a class of his own when it comes to making quality, intelligent couples porn.

Good use of music in this future.  Especially good was the electronica jazz-pop heard in Kira's first scene and the other ambient tracks that helped set the tone of this feature.

Generous number of complementary bonus scenes are included (three out of five feature Kira Kener).  In addition Vivid loads this disc with other nice extras including a five minute behind the scene segment and two photo galleries. 

Very good production values.  The camerawork, audio and illumination of the scenes was very good.  Impressive!

What's Not

The sex scenes are well done, but sanitized.  Thomas seems to go out of way here not to present anything the slightest bit offensive.  This feature is the opposite of a movie that targets raincoaters.

I wasn't entirely pleased with the ending.  It seemed rushed and frankly, didn't make a whole lot of sense to me.  Quite disappointing in light of rest of the script.

Below is a brief blow by blow account of the sex scenes:

"The Arrangement" was thoroughly enjoyable, but misses the "A" mark due to the weak ending and overly vanilla sexually content.  Highly recommended to couples looking for quality porn and Kira fans.  Although Kira's character dies early in this title, she is featured in the first two sex scenes and Vivid includes three bonus scenes with the hot Eurasian starlet.

(2.50 out of 4.00 -> C+ bumped up two notches for script, direction, production values and dvd extras).

Second Opinion? 

Diesel didn't feel this was one of Paul Thomas' better works, however, he enjoyed noted Kira was "brain-meltingly gorgeous" and praised the very good video and audio quality.  He described this movie as a "character driven yarn with standard, straightforward sex scenes."  Overall grade:  4 out of 5 stars.  (RAME)
