Synopsis

"The Game" is a couples oriented feature that was filmed about four years ago (September 1999).  The DVD version is new for the spring of 2003.

What's Hot

What's Not

The plot was pretty thin and overly familiar.

Other than one anal scene in the beginning, there's nothing here for the raincoater audience.

Some of the sex scenes were broken up by cutting to scenes related to story development.  To be fair, the cuts were very well done, but it does break up the continuity of the sex.

The sex scenes are short.  Most clock in at about ten minutes.

Although she's not bad looking, Nina struggles with English, so she cannot deliver her lines in an convincing manner.

Taylor's vocals during sex seemed obviously dubbed at places in post production. 

Annoying commercials at the beginning of the disc that I could not bypass on my stand alone player.  The best I could manage is to fast forward past them.  Viewers, many of which presumable paid for the disc should not be forced to watch four or five commercials before reaching the main menu.

Below is a brief blow by blow account of the sex scenes:

The main menu of the dvd is attractive and well laid out.  Viewers are presented with the following choices:  Play Feature, Scene Selection, Positions Room (8 choice), Bonus Rooms, Phone Sex (Ad), Web Site (Ad) and Setup (multiple angles). 

The "Bonus Room" has four choices:  "Photo Gallery", "Dayton Does Girls", "Amazing Anal" and one other choice I couldn't read on my TV. 

"Dayton Does Girls" features girl/girl four scenes with big titted, blond Dayton.  The first is lifted from "Busted".  The second scene is from from "Delirium".  Scene number three is from "Dreams" and the forth and final scene is from "Interview With Raylene". 

"Amazing Anal" is also 35 minutes long.  It contains a three full scenes featuring backdoor action.  First up is Ryan Conner from "Bad Wives #02".  The second scene is hot booty burner featuring Kira Kenner lifted from "The Prisoner."  The third scene is lifted from the movie "Couchtails."

The photo gallery consists of nice stills taken from "The Game".  Many of them are of Taylor.  However, the (movie title) logo on the screen is too large.  Besides the distracting logo, the gallery is nicely done with music and roving camera.

Nice boxcover art and silkscreen on the dvd disc.

Condoms were used in all scenes.  

Last Word

"The Game" is aimed straight at the couples and cable market.  Since it's a talky movie about relationships, plot wise it's probably more of a "chick flick".  However, viewers will probably feel like they have seen variations of this story over and over.  Finally, "The Game" may appeal to Taylor fans and Dayton fans (due to the bonus scenes). 

Overall Rating:  C (scene GPA 2.22)

Second Opinion? 

Don Houston was disappointed in this feature and advises viewers to "skip it".  He gives the movie itself only one star out of five.  He called the sex "boring" and story "common".
