Synopsis

Very good production values.  The scenes are well lit and clear.  John Leslie's constantly roving (voyeur) POV camerawork is usually right on the money.

Active direction by John Leslie helps insure the footage is hot.  He seems quite enthusiastic in this installment.  John is generally heard, but not seen.

What's Not

Cherie performed anal for about ten minutes in her scene, but only in one position (reverse cowgirl).  The footage would have been more interesting with more variety.

In scene four Bella's voice became highly annoying to me.  She speaks with a faint lisp I could not stand after awhile.  Interestingly, she sounded much better when speaking Spanish.  Sapphire's voice was fine, but she wasn't very convincing.

As noted above, I appreciate Leslie's camerawork and perspective on sex, but there were times when the camera was roving around too much, as if searching for a good angle.  As an example, I noticed this and found it distracting during the beginning of Sapphire's nasty piledriver anal sequence.

The DVD also features a photo gallery, trailers and an advertisement for Leslie's blues band.

Last Word

Leslie is a quirky director who places his personal stamp on everything he touches.  In this episode of "The Voyeur" he does indeed encourage the performers to do what they want, but he's quick to jump in and make suggestions if he feels the action is lacking or could be improved.  This is the first installment of "Voyeur" I've seen in a few years and Leslie seemed to be have more spirit than I remember.  Gonzo and raincoater fans should fine plenty of interesting stroke material here to enjoy.  Fans of voyeur themes may enjoy that there are multiple layers of voyeurism throughout here.  Besides Leslie himself, other starlets or people close by are often watching the action.  Another winner from from of the top directors in the adult industry!   

Overall Rating:  B (2.94) -- bumped up slightly for generous extra sex footage.

Second Opinion? 

Astroknight rated this movie very high (4 1/2 out of 5 stars) but was bothered by the different set up and settings in the final two scenes.  Nonetheless he calls it "one heck of a hot porn flick."

Aybessa was even more positive about this movie.  He gave it a perfect rating (5 out of 5 stars).  His words, "All I can say is 'Holy Fuck"  He says it "effectively captures the emotions and feelings of some incredibly dirty minds and situations."

On 07.30.03, the average price for this dvd was $24.18 based on18 online retailers.

My cheap Koss DVD standalone player from Target crapped out half way through the Sapphire scene.  The rest of the movie was unviewable on this player.  On my new RCA standalone changer, the disc played fine. 

I lost my notes for the footage at the end of scene 4 and described it from memory.  I'll hope to go back and supplement my description of the anal footage soon if necessary.
